Summit Info

Experience Florida’s Forgotten Coast and the city of Apalachicola as never before at the 4th Annual RiverWay South Summit.

This year’s Summit 2010 offers an extraordinary agenda with speakers from all three states and features Judy Randall, tourism/marketing specialist who has achieved phenomenal results in the travel industry. You’ll hear regional and national experts discuss innovative grant writing possibilities, cultural heritage tourism, river recreation, nature based tourism, preservation, navigation and water resources.

Bay and river cruises along with community visits will demonstrate more than four years of dynamic sustainable growth across the Apalachicola, Chattahoochee and Flint watershed. Join a walking tour to hear and observe Project Riverway’s most recent achievements in Apalachicola and Chattahoochee/Sneads.

Participate in a River-Memories Story Share and see 3 new short films highlighting 3 different regions in the ACF including Apalachicola’s Oyster Industry. Taste some of the South’s finest cuisine including a special lunch at the Historic Rainey House and a Low Country Boil and Bay Oysters at George Floyd’s Maritime Museum as well as local ACF restaurants along the way.

Bring family and friends and enjoy a variety of pre and post summit activities:  hiking, fishing, dining and swimming and a weekend of Dixie Does Nashville featuring song writers from throughout the south.

Register here beginning November 2009. Special lodging rates available as long as they last at the Water Street Hotel.
