Summit Info
Become a member of RiverWay South by registering for the RiverWay South Summit 2011 in Apalachicola, FL March 10th and 11th and help us continue to connect all Apalachicola, Chattahoochee, and Flint watershed communities through sustainable cultural heritage tourism. Our primary mission is to preserve, protect and promote the ACF watershed and, as a representative from your county, you can help us unite this magnificent watershed.
With 6 years of extraordinary accomplishments, RiverWay South is ready to move to the next level of achievement. RiverWay South Summit 2011 is designed to take us to a place of sustainability which includes all counties, cities, and states within the ACF watershed.
Join us for the biggest RiverWay South Summit yet with an opportunity to make your community a permanent part of the RiverWay South Heritage Trail. At the same time, experience Florida’s Forgotten Coast and the city of Apalachicola at the 5th Annual RiverWay South Summit.
Your registration fee also covers your RiverWay South membership dues for one year and gives you official membership status in RiverWay South with all rights and privileges.
This year’s Summit 2011 offers an extraordinary agenda with tourism/economic development and funding experts from GA, AL and FL. Additionally, The University of Georgia will present spectacular findings from their most recent ACF River Corridor Study, Project RiverWay, an exploratory trip including Donalsonville/Lake Seminole. You’ll be amazed at the final product.
Explore options and find assistance to implement both general and specific community needs during this two day conference. Panels comprised of ACF community leaders will help facilitate our efforts to sustain RiverWay South through a number of satellites or ACF regional offices. Help your community learn valuable lessons from RWS – Apalachicola - Choctawhatchee as they lead the way to RWS sustainability through their regional satellite office.
And…take part in Apalachicola Bay and River cruises along with community walks to demonstrate dynamic sustainable growth within the Apalachicola watershed. Choose from a menu of Mobile Workshops including a Chamber Development Tour, The Plein Air Experience and Community Gardens/Botanical and State. Also, experience and help yourself to some of the South’s finest food on your way to and from RiverWay South Summit 2011.
Take advantage of this great opportunity to join over 60 counties and their representatives as we explore more ways to connect our communities using the Apalachicola, Chattahoochee, Flint River system as a transportation route.
The ACF watershed is a priceless treasure and all interested citizens should be involved. We need input from everyone and especially those who have a stake in the continued success of their community.
